Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the American sweetheart after she took home American Idol in the first series. It was not just the victory that brought Kelly Clarkson to fame and fortune, but it also secured her a deal in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records" for a series of albums. Since her debut in the series, she has released a number of albums. From those, three made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The other albums were also close to the top spot. They consider her to be one of the most successful American Idol artists. She experimented as she gained success with diverse musical and theme style, and often wrote her own songs. The uniqueness of her voice and singing talent earned her praise from critics along with a host of high-profile awards. She has been the most notable winner of the Grammy Award three times. She also has been featured in film and television. River Rose and the Magical Lullaby is her children's book. Additionally, she has been active in charity work as well as different organizations.
